FlyLady
Time to get down to brass tacks. Let me tell you about an old acquaintance named FlyLady. I first “met” the FlyLady many years ago, when my children were babies. You can “meet” her yourself at her website FlyLady.com. Joining her mailing list way back then, I still get her daily email. I haven’t “practiced” her methods in years and am planning to try again.
Visit her website for the details and I will give you the overview. You know copyrights and the like. She is big on baby steps and starting small. You can start with me or on your own with her Beginner BabySteps. First step is to Shine your Sink. The first time I started this I totally missed the point. I thought I had to wash all the dishes, clean the counters and scrub the sink. Boy was I wrong! Nope, she just wants you to empty your sink, scrub it, “bleach” it (read the web page she’ll even tell you how to do it!) and shine it. Now I believe the dishes, counter and sink are the ultimate goal. Seriously she REALLY just wants you to shine your sink.

I did not get as down and seriously as her first shining says to toothbrush and all. I took all my dishes out, put a few in the dishwasher and scrubbed away. I’ve been here before and I know what it feels like to have a shiny sink. It’s nice! Let’s see if I can make it all week.
